The Sigma is a 32mm matte black cabinet knob for white Shaker — the oldest hardware form in the newest hardware finish.

The cabinet knob shape has been the dominant hardware on American furniture and cabinetry since the early 1700s — three hundred years of continuous use across every design movement from Federal through Mid-century through contemporary minimalism. Matte black powder-coating is a 20th-century surface technology, developed for industrial coatings before crossing into hardware. Together on a white Shaker door, Sigma reads as a deliberate temporal collision: a centuries-old hardware form delivered in a contemporary finish treatment. This is why matte black knobs work across both traditional and contemporary kitchen design — the form carries the historical reading, the finish carries the modern reading, and neither cancels the other.

Solid brass with thermally bonded powder-coat finish covering the full knob surface. The bond is structural to the brass — not a paint layer that wears at the contact point where the thumb and finger pinch the knob on every opening. The rounded form means the powder-coat is presented at every approach angle, with no flat back face hidden against the door.

In the Box

1× Sigma Matte Black Knob, 1× M4 machine screw (25mm). Standard configuration — if your door thickness requires a different screw length, contact us before ordering.

Clean with a soft damp cloth. Avoid scouring pads or chemical solvents.

Fit & installation
Back-mounted, with mounting screws included. The screws suit standard drawer fronts and doors from 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches thick; for thicker or thinner panels, a longer or shorter screw is available at any hardware store. Drill a 3/16-inch hole at each marked center, fit the screw from behind, and hand-tighten until snug. With daily use, hardware can work loose over time — an occasional re-tighten keeps it solid.

Care
A damp cloth is all it needs. No solvents or abrasive cleaners.
