The Onyx is the 5" polished gold bar pull for the smallest drawers on a navy island — the size that lets a kitchen commit to a mirror finish at the lowest possible stakes. Polished gold behaves differently from every other finish here: it never recedes. A brushed or matte pull can sit quietly on a panel, but a mirror surface always catches and returns light. The only real control you have over how loud it gets is how much of it there is — and at 5", there isn't much.
That is the case for starting a polished program at this size rather than a larger one. On a wide navy drawer face, a single 128mm mirror line reads as a point of precision, not a display of gilding — the contrast is sharp but small, the way a watch face reads against a dark cuff. It gives a designer the full character of polished gold, the depth and the flash that no PVD finish reproduces, on the drawers where a misjudged amount would be easiest to regret. Get the look right here on the secondary stacks before committing it to the island's primary face.
There is a practical dimension to the small scale too. A mirror finish on a high-contact island drawer shows fingerprints and needs wiping to stay sharp; at 5" the surface that has to be kept clean is minimal, so the upkeep stays proportional to the drama. Solid brass polished to mirror clarity and lacquer-sealed for protection at a frequently-handled island position.
Best fit: secondary island stacks and feature drawer banks where the mirror finish reads as accent. Step up to the Marble 6.25" or Granite 10" for primary drawers. For the same 5" on navy perimeter cabinetry, see the Pulse 5".
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the lacquered finish.
Fit & installation
Back-mounted, with mounting screws included. The screws suit standard drawer fronts and doors from 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches thick; for thicker or thinner panels, a longer or shorter screw is available at any hardware store. Drill a 3/16-inch hole at each marked center, fit the screw from behind, and hand-tighten until snug. With daily use, hardware can work loose over time — an occasional re-tighten keeps it solid.
Care
Soft cloth only; wipe dry after any contact with water. No abrasives.
