The Silk is the 10" polished gold bar pull for navy at full-height cabinetry — pantry banks, refrigerator panels, integrated appliance doors, and statement island drawers 36" and up. At this length the pull stops being a detail on the door and becomes the line that defines it, which puts a structural demand on the bar that a 5" pull never faces.
A 256mm span carries real leverage at the grip. Pull a full-height pantry door by its center and the force concentrates midway between two fixed mounting points — the exact span where a hollow or plated bar flexes, and where, over years, that flex shows up as a finish that has dulled or crazed at the middle while the ends stay bright. The Silk is solid brass through its full section, so the core stays rigid under daily load and the polish holds an even mirror end to end, with no soft spot developing at the center where the hand lands most.
The finish is mechanically polished to specular grade and lacquer-sealed for a kitchen environment. On a tall navy door the reflective face runs nearly a foot, so any inconsistency would be visible along the whole length — the seal keeps the reflectivity uniform across the span rather than letting it break up where handling is heaviest.
