The Pax is the 7.5" antique brass-and-walnut bar pull for wide base drawers — the scale where the walnut stops reading as texture and starts reading as composition.
At shorter lengths, the walnut grip shows straight grain running left to right: a texture, a material indicator. At 7.5", there's enough surface area for the figure in the wood — the swirl and ray patterns unique to each piece of walnut — to develop fully. Light and dark areas, chatoyance across the grain, the particular character of that plank of timber. The antique brass mounts bracket both ends; between them, the wood has room to show its full range rather than a narrow cross-section of it. No two Pax pulls carry the same composition. At this length, that variability is visible rather than something you look for.

Best fit: wide base drawers and lower pantry sections in Craftsman and heritage kitchens where the wood grain is the feature. Step down to the Rax 6.25" for medium base drawers, or up to the Luxa 10" for the widest fronts. For the same size in a stable brushed-brass finish, the Mirror 7.5" holds a factory color.
Dust with a soft dry cloth and treat the walnut occasionally with furniture oil. Avoid water, soaking, and any cleaner that could strip the aged brass patina.
