The Lume is the 5" brushed brass bar pull at 128mm hole centers — the spacing that lands on the widest range of existing cabinet drilling without a second set of holes. On most retrofit jobs, doors and drawers already carry 96mm or 128mm centers, and 128mm seats cleanly on base drawers in the 15" to 24" range, upper doors, shallow pantry pull-outs, and refrigerator drawer panels. Verify your current centers before ordering.
Against white cabinetry, brushed brass introduces warmth without darkening the run. The satin grain is directional and lightly diffusing — it reads as a warm metal rather than a bright one, so the eye registers a shift in temperature instead of a hard point of contrast. Across a full run, the cabinetry stays the subject and the hardware stays the accent.
The lacquer coat is what keeps that satin tone fixed. Uncoated brass keeps reacting at the surface and drifts toward a deeper, more orange register over the first two years; the sealed grain on the Lume holds the same warm-satin color through daily kitchen contact, so the finish you mount is the finish you keep.
