The Float is the 6.25" brushed gold bar pull for natural walnut base cabinetry - sized so the pull's axis runs parallel to the cabinet door's grain direction, not across it. On a flat-front walnut door, that orientation decision shapes how the eye reads the entire base run.
Walnut veneer on cabinet doors is typically book-matched or run-matched with the grain laid horizontally across the panel face. A horizontal bar pull at 160mm hole centers sits in axial alignment with that grain - the two horizontal lines reinforce each other across the base run, where a knob or vertical pull would interrupt them. This is the small geometric decision that separates a walnut kitchen that reads as designed from one that reads as wood cabinetry with hardware applied.
The PVD brushed gold finish is bonded to the brass substrate through high-temperature deposition - not a plated layer that wears through at the grip edge over years of daily contact. On a walnut kitchen, where the cabinets themselves continue to age and develop tonal depth, the hardware needs to hold its own character without competing or fading. PVD gold does both.
