At 7.5" hole centers, the Mist is the island and wide-base pull — drawer fronts from 24" to 36" where a shorter pull loses the proportional relationship with the cabinet surface and a longer one starts to overstate it.
An island reads at a viewing distance the perimeter base cabinets don't. The hardware has to hold its line across the room. Brushed brass at 7.5" carries that distance: warm enough to register from the far side of the kitchen, restrained enough to stay quiet at counter height. The horizontal axis it establishes across an island front becomes the visual line the rest of the kitchen organizes against.
The size also resolves the most common island design problem — a wide drawer front sitting alone in a long cabinet face. The 7.5" pull centers the eye on the drawer; the cabinet reads as composed rather than oversized.
