The Edge is the 10" brushed brass bar pull for kitchen islands — the size where hardware commits architecturally. At 256mm hole centers, the bar runs nearly the full visual width of a 30" island drawer face, becoming a primary design element rather than a functional addition. On a drawer that wide loaded with pots, the 279mm bar also earns its length in use: the hand lands anywhere along it and still pulls square, or takes two hands on the heaviest drawers, instead of reaching for one fixed grip point.
An island in an open-plan kitchen is the most-viewed cabinetry in the home. It sits in line of sight from the dining table, the seating area, the front-door approach. A 10" brushed brass bar on a navy island front, repeated across the run, is what the room is reading at any given moment. This is the scale at which the homeowner is committing — not to hardware, but to the island being the room's centerpiece, with the brass line being its primary horizontal signature.
Solid brass alloy across the full 10" span — no chrome plating beneath, no lacquer over-coat. The unlacquered surface develops natural patina with kitchen use, and at this scale the patina development becomes visible as character across the bar: lighter tones at the mounting ends where contact is rare, slightly warmer tones at the center where the hand grips most often. The island lives the kitchen's history into its hardware.
Best fit: kitchen island drawer fronts 30" to 36" wide on navy, dark teal, or saturated dark cabinetry — statement island specifications. Step down to the Frame 7.5" for standard island drawers; step up to the Span 12.5" for oversized islands and integrated appliance panels. For lacquered brushed brass at the same size on white Shaker perimeter, see the Glow 10".
Soft cloth, mild soap, no solvents.
Fit & installation
Back-mounted, with mounting screws included. The screws suit standard drawer fronts and doors from 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches thick; for thicker or thinner panels, a longer or shorter screw is available at any hardware store. Drill a 3/16-inch hole at each marked center, fit the screw from behind, and hand-tighten until snug. With daily use, hardware can work loose over time — an occasional re-tighten keeps it solid.
Care
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap. Skip solvents, abrasives and furniture polish. The lacquered finish holds its tone — no polishing needed.
