The Motion is the 5" polished gold bar pull for white Shaker wardrobe drawers — the cheapest single change that makes a builder-grade closet stop looking builder-grade. Most US bedroom closets arrive the same way: a flat-pack or contractor-installed system that's perfectly functional and visibly generic, almost always let down by the hardware. The stock handles are stamped, hollow, lightweight zinc or plastic, and they're the one part of the closet your hand touches every day. Swapping them is the highest-leverage upgrade in the room.
This is the pull for "I want this to look more expensive without redoing the closet." A solid brass bar has real weight and a machined edge the stamped original doesn't — the difference registers the moment you pull the drawer, before you've consciously noticed why the closet suddenly feels better made. Because most modular systems (IKEA PAX and similar) are drilled at 128mm, the 5" Motion drops onto the existing holes: unscrew the builder handle, fit the brass, done in minutes per drawer with no filling or re-boring. Hardware-only upgrade, no demolition, no re-spec of the closet itself.
The 128mm center-to-center fits standard wardrobe drawer fronts 22" to 28" wide. Solid brass core with a polished gold PVD surface — no special care, and stable through years of daily bedroom use.
Best fit: builder-grade and modular wardrobe drawer fronts where a hardware swap is the intended upgrade, including direct retrofit onto 128mm flat-pack systems. Step up to the Kinetic 6.25" for mid-height wardrobe doors. For a warm-finish wardrobe alternative at the same 5" size, see the Slide 5" in brushed brass on walnut. For the same polished gold on kitchen perimeter, explore the Lux 5" in polished gold.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the PVD finish.
Fit & installation
Back-mounted, with mounting screws included. The screws suit standard drawer fronts and doors from 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches thick; for thicker or thinner panels, a longer or shorter screw is available at any hardware store. Drill a 3/16-inch hole at each marked center, fit the screw from behind, and hand-tighten until snug. With daily use, hardware can work loose over time — an occasional re-tighten keeps it solid.
Care
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap. Skip solvents and abrasives. The polished surface keeps fingerprints low-key.
