The Lux is the 5" brushed nickel bar pull for white Shaker kitchens — the only common hardware finish that sits in the same tonal family as stainless steel appliances. The choice when the kitchen's design vocabulary includes the appliance line as a deliberate element.
Brushed nickel and brushed stainless steel are within a narrow gray range — close enough that a stainless refrigerator, range, and dishwasher do not visually compete with brushed nickel hardware across the cabinetry. Every other hardware finish creates contrast with stainless: brass introduces warmth into a cool palette, matte black asserts a separate visual element, polished gold introduces reflectivity the stainless does not have. Brushed nickel is the only finish that lets the appliance line and the hardware program read as a single material decision.
Solid brass with PVD brushed nickel finish — molecular-level bond, not a plated coating that develops cloudy white pinhole spots over five to seven years of kitchen humidity exposure. The 5" scale spans the most-used range of US Shaker base cabinet drawer fronts (15" to 24") without re-drilling on most retrofit jobs.
Best fit: white Shaker kitchens with stainless steel appliances at base drawers 15" to 24", upper cabinet doors, pantry pull-outs, refrigerator drawer panels. The default specification when stainless appliances are a design choice rather than just a price-tier choice. Step down to the Airy 3.75" for narrow uppers; step up to the Nova 6.25" for wider base drawers. For matte black at the same size on white Shaker — for max-contrast modern instead of tonal coordination — see the Radiant 5".
1× Lux Brushed Nickel Pull, 2× M4 machine screws (25mm), 2× M4 machine screws (38mm). Standard configuration — if your door thickness requires a different screw length, contact us before ordering.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth and dry after wet-hand contact. Avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the PVD finish.
Fit & installation
Back-mounted, with mounting screws included. The screws suit standard drawer fronts and doors from 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches thick; for thicker or thinner panels, a longer or shorter screw is available at any hardware store. Drill a 3/16-inch hole at each marked center, fit the screw from behind, and hand-tighten until snug. With daily use, hardware can work loose over time — an occasional re-tighten keeps it solid.
Care
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap. Skip solvents and abrasives. The brushed surface keeps fingerprints low-key.
