The Axis is a 32mm brushed nickel cabinet knob for white Shaker — the lowest-commitment hardware decision you can make in a kitchen. A knob touches the door at a single point and leaves a single small bore behind it, so of every hardware form, it is the one that asks the least of the cabinet and is the easiest to undo.

That reversibility is the practical case for a knob over a pull. A bar pull needs two holes at a fixed center spacing; once drilled, those holes commit the door to that spacing, and changing your mind later means filling, sanding, and refinishing — or living with the marks. A knob's one centered hole keeps the options open. Want to switch to pulls in five years, or move to a longer knob, or hand the kitchen to a buyer with different taste? The door has a single patchable point, not a fixed two-hole pattern. For a renovation where the homeowner wants to commit to white Shaker now without locking in the hardware geometry forever, the knob is the decision you can walk back.

Solid brass with PVD brushed nickel applied across the front face, the sides, and the top contact zone where thumb and finger pinch on every opening. The PVD bond is structural to the brass, so it resists tarnish and fingerprint transfer through the kitchen's daily grease, steam, and handling. Plated nickel can develop cloudy pinhole degradation after three to five years of kitchen humidity; the PVD layer does not break down that way.

Best fit: white Shaker doors, and any renovation where keeping the hardware geometry reversible matters more than committing to a pull pattern. For brushed nickel bar pulls in 3.75" — to combine bar pulls on drawers with knobs on doors — see the Airy 3.75". For the full Shaker mixed-form program with cup pulls on drawers, pair with the Regal 3.75" cup pull. For the maximum-contrast cool alternative at the same knob form, see the Sigma Matte Black.

In the Box

1× Axis Brushed Nickel Knob, 1× M4 machine screw (25mm). Standard configuration — if your door thickness requires a different screw length, contact us before ordering.

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the PVD finish.

Fit & installation
Back-mounted, with mounting screws included. The screws suit standard drawer fronts and doors from 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches thick; for thicker or thinner panels, a longer or shorter screw is available at any hardware store. Drill a 3/16-inch hole at each marked center, fit the screw from behind, and hand-tighten until snug. With daily use, hardware can work loose over time — an occasional re-tighten keeps it solid.

Care
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap. Skip solvents and abrasives. The brushed surface keeps fingerprints low-key.
