Returns & Refunds

We design hardware we'd want in our own homes — but we know it doesn't always work out. If your order isn't right, we'll work with you to make it right. No restocking fees, no fine print.

Our 30-day satisfaction guarantee means you have a full month from delivery to decide.


1. How to start a return

Email hello@archandles.com within 30 days of delivery, including:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you'd like to return
  • The reason (so we can keep improving)

We'll reply within 1 business day with the return address and any next steps.

For items under $25, we often issue a refund without asking you to return anything — return shipping costs more than the item is worth, and we'd rather you keep it (or pass it on) than feel out of pocket.


2. Item condition

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unused and uninstalled
  • In original packaging with all included parts (screws, washers, mounting plates, instruction cards)
  • Free of damage caused after delivery

We inspect returns on arrival. Items not meeting these conditions may be refused or refunded only partially.


3. Non-returnable items

The following are final sale and cannot be returned:

  • Gift cards
  • Items purchased during clearly marked "Final Sale" or clearance promotions

Everything else in our catalog is fully returnable within 30 days.


4. Damaged or defective items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, please email hello@archandles.com within 14 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the issue
  • A photo of the original packaging if damaged in transit

For items under $25, we'll refund or replace without asking for the original back.

For higher-value items, we may ask you to return the damaged item — return shipping is on us in those cases. We'll email a prepaid label.

Damaged or defective items are never charged restocking fees, and original shipping is fully refunded.


5. Return shipping

Change of mind or not as expected: customer covers return shipping. We recommend a tracked, insured shipping service — items lost in return transit are not eligible for refund.

Damaged, defective, or wrong item shipped: Archandle covers return shipping. We'll email you a prepaid label.

Items under $25: typically no return required — see Section 1.


6. Refund timeline

Once your return arrives at our facility, we will:

  1. Inspect the item within 2 business days
  2. Email you a refund confirmation
  3. Issue your refund to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval

Depending on your bank or card issuer, the refund may take an additional 3–5 business days to appear in your account. Refunds cannot be issued to a different card or account than the one used for the original purchase.


7. Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange an item is:

  1. Email hello@archandles.com to start a return for your original item
  2. Place a new order for the replacement

This way you receive the new item as soon as it ships — you don't wait for us to process your return first. The refund for your original is issued once the return arrives and is approved.

If you'd prefer a direct exchange (slower, but no upfront second charge), let us know in your return email and we'll arrange it.


8. Order cancellations

Orders can be cancelled at no cost before they ship — typically within 1 business day of placement. Once a parcel is in transit, the order must go through the standard return process. See our Shipping Policy for details.

To cancel, email hello@archandles.com with your order number as soon as possible.


9. International returns

Customers outside the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia follow the same return process — email hello@archandles.com for the regional return address.

International returns are at customer expense, including any duties or customs fees on the return shipment. Original shipping costs and any duties paid on the outbound order are non-refundable.
